If you are using Google Chrome browser for a while, then there is a good chance that you have encountered several errors. One of those errors is ‘Err Empty Response’ along with ‘No data Received’ that I have faced several times as well as lots of other people just like you.

But this error is usually fixable and in today’s post I will show you how to fix the Err_Empty_Response error in Google chrome in Windows 7, 8 and 10.

Fix 1: Using Command Prompt

Click on Start menu and then type in ‘Command Prompt’ or ‘cmd’ in the search box. Then right click on it, after that click on ‘Run as Administrator’ and then click OK. This way command prompt will open with administrative permission.

Windows 10 users can open command prompt from power menu by pressing ‘Windows Key + X’ and then clickking on ‘Command Prompt (Admin)’

Now type in each of the following command lines one by one and press Enter after each of them.

netsh int ip set dns
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /all
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

Restart your computer to make them take effect immediately and then check if the error is gone.

Fix 2: Clearing Cache and Cookies

If the fix given above doesn’t work then you need clear the browsing data of Chrome. Click on the Customize button located on the top right corner of Chrome. Then click on Settings. 

Now scroll down and then click on ‘Show Advanced Settings’. Afterwards click on ‘Clear browsing data’.

Tick the check boxes that say ‘Cookies and other site and plugin data’ and ‘Cached images and files’ then click ‘Clear browsing data’.

Fix 3: Power Cycle Your Computer and Router

At this step, we will power cycle the router and computer that you are using to clear the memory of the router, modem and network card. Simply just unplug the router from the power source and leave it that way for at least 5 minutes before plugging it back in again.

Now shut down your computer and unplug it from the power source (remove the battery if you are using a laptop) and leave it off for 5 minutes and then turn it back on again. Now check if the error still exist or not.

Inaccessible Boot Device is a BSOD error that occurs in Windows when it can’t access the system partition for any reason. You are probably seeing this error in your Windows 7 or 8 computer or maybe after upgrading to Windows 10 from your previous OS. But whatever the reason is, we will now try to solve the issue.

I have listed the best three solutions that worked for many people who were facing the ‘Inaccessible_Boot_Device’ error on their Windows computer. Check them below.

Solution 1: Removing The 2nd Drive

If you have an SSD as your primary drive along with an HDD or two HDDs then turn off your computer and remove the HDD or the second HDD (that are not boot drives) and then check if the system boots properly with only the boot drive connected.

If it doesn’t then check the video below to see how you can reset your computer externally with a Windows DVD. The procedure is almost same for both Windows 8 and 10.

After the reset if everything runs properly, you can connect your other drives.

Solution 2: Using Command Line

If you can boot into Windows after the restart then open ‘Command Prompt’ with Admin privilege by searching ‘cmd’ in the Windows search box. Now type in the command line given below and press Enter. Replace (C:) with the letter of your primary drive if it’s anything other than C.

chkdsk C: /f

Now the thing is that you can’t run check disk on a drive that you are currently using. So windows will prompt a scheduled check disk. Select ‘Run on next Restart’ and then click on ‘Schedule CHKDSK’ and then restart your computer.

Now after the restart Windows will check your primary drive for error and fix it if needed.

Solution 3: System Restore

If you have previously created any system restore point then you can try this method. You will need your Windows DVD or System repair disk for it.

=> Boot your computer while your Windows DVD or System Repair Disc is in the optical drive.

=> When “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD” text appears, Press any key.

=> Now select the correct time and the keyboard type.

=> After that click ‘Repair your computer’ from lower left corner.

=> The select ‘Troubleshoot’ from Choose an option screen.

=> In Troubleshoot screen, click on ‘Advanced options’

=> Now select ‘System Restore’.

Please note that when you use System Restore to restore the computer to a previous position, all the programs and updates that you installed after the restore date will be removed.

The Last Resort – If none of these work for you then you may have to do a clean Windows installation using the DVD or ISO file.

Google Chrome usually shows error messages whenever an issue arises with your internet connection or miss-configuration of your network devices. ‘Err_Connection_Closed’ is one of those errors but the good thing is that, it can be easily fixed in most cases.

Follow the easy fixes given below to get rid of the Err Connection Closed issue in Chrome.

Fix 1: Using Command Lines

In this method we will run some commands to fix the issue. Press ‘Windows Key + R‘ and then type in cmd in the Run box and hit Enter.  Now type in the following command in Command Prompt, press Enter and then restart your computer.

netsh winsock reset

If it doesn’t fix the issue and type in the following command lines one by one and press Enter after each of them and then restart your PC again.

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns

Fix 2: Clearing Browser Cache

At this point you can try clearing your Chrome browser cache and cookies. Click on ‘Customize and Control’ button on top right corner and then click ‘Settings’. Now scroll down and click on ‘Advance Settings’ then click on ‘Clear Browsing Data’.

Now select ‘Cookies and Plugin Data’ and ‘Cached Images and Files’ then click on ‘Clear browsing data’ to finish clearing the cache and cookies.

Fix 3: Assigning DNS Address Manually

If none of the fixes given above work, then it’s time to change your DNS address manually. Start off by right clicking on your network icon from the bottom right corner of your desktop. Now click on ‘Open Network and Sharing Center’.

Now click ‘Local Area Connection’ and then ‘Properties’. Afterwards select ‘Internet Protocol Version 4′ then click on ‘Properties’ again.

In the new window select the radio button ‘Use the following DNS server addresses’ and then in the ‘Preferred DNS Server’ type in 8.8.8.8 whle in the ‘Alternate DNS Server’ type in 8.8.4.4.

Now tick the check-box ‘Validate settings upon exit’ and then click OK. This will change the automatically obtained DNS to Google DNS which is more reliable.

If you are using Google Chrome browser for a while, then there is a good chance that you have encountered several errors. One of those errors is ‘Err Empty Response’ along with ‘No data Received’ that I have faced several times as well as lots of other people just like you.

But this error is usually fixable and in today’s post I will show you how to fix the Err_Empty_Response error in Google chrome in Windows 7, 8 and 10.

Fix 1: Using Command Prompt

Click on Start menu and then type in ‘Command Prompt’ or ‘cmd’ in the search box. Then right click on it, after that click on ‘Run as Administrator’ and then click OK. This way command prompt will open with administrative permission.

Windows 10 users can open command prompt from power menu by pressing ‘Windows Key + X’ and then clickking on ‘Command Prompt (Admin)’

Now type in each of the following command lines one by one and press Enter after each of them.

netsh int ip set dns
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /all
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

Restart your computer to make them take effect immediately and then check if the error is gone.

Fix 2: Clearing Cache and Cookies

If the fix given above doesn’t work then you need clear the browsing data of Chrome. Click on the Customize button located on the top right corner of Chrome. Then click on Settings. 

Now scroll down and then click on ‘Show Advanced Settings’. Afterwards click on ‘Clear browsing data’.

There is easy button controls on this monitor. It comes with anti-glare and can be tilted from -2 to +25 degrees. It does come with a limited one year warranty from HP. A lot of people are looking for what works for the cheapest; but not necessarily everyone. So let’s take a look and find out why it is a little more expensive.

It is not compatible to be wall mounted. There are dual built in speakers. Most importantly, and why it has a bigger price tag: it has a curved screen. There is also a capability of deeper reds and deeper blacks than with the cheaper monitors. Between that and the curved screen, one should have a reduced amount of eyestrain if they are someone who is at the computer all day versus someone who just uses it an hour or two after work.

4. Samsung S27E390H LED-Lit 27 Inch Monitor

Here is the last monitor we are looking at today. It is more expensive than the first two, but not the Dell with the curved screen. It offers the same resolution as all the others and for those few that it matters to its color is black with light blue. It is obvious why this one demands a bit more price wise than the first two. It has an eye saving mode as well.

It comes with a VGA and HDMI cable but lacks a USB. There are complaints of the white having a yellowish tint to it one this one. For that reason I would be reluctant to recommend it unless you need the eye saver mode.

Which One Should You Get?

Okay so there were the four monitors that were looked at. The one that I can rule out right away is the ASUS listed first. There was no feature in particular that stood out about it (other than the three year warranty but that only comes into play if it becomes defective anyway). The other three it depends on exactly what you are looking for.

I am operating under the assumption that price is a big factor for a lot of who would be reading this. If getting the most for your money is your biggest concern: the HP wins hands down. Now if you need the eye saver mode and don’t want to spend the extra money for the Dell; you can try the Samsung, but be aware of the whites look yellow issue.

Finally, if you are going to be at your computer for hours on end on a frequent basis and are willing to spend a bit more on the monitor, my recommendation is the Dell. The curved screen and the deeper reds and blacks than you would get with a cheap monitor provide an enhanced viewing experience.
